Marie-José Quentin-Millet, Ph.D.

Marie-José Quentin-Millet, PhD, is currently self-employed and offers consulting services in the field of biologics and vaccine development from pre-clinical to licensure. She serves as independent expert in different Scientific Advisory Committee, and accelerator. She is retired from the pharmaceutical industry, Sanofi Pasteur, where she held various roles in R&D and in general management. From 2007-2015 she was responsible for all lab-based activities, excluding discovery on a worldwide basis. Her activities covered Pre-clinical Research, Non-Clinical Safety, Analytical Sciences, Process Development and Clinical Serology. From 2015 to May 2021, in her general management position, she was responsible for transversal processes within the company, which included Risk Management.

In over 30 years of career and different positions within Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccine division of Sanofi, she contributed to the development and licensure of over ten vaccines currently serving public health, including the hexavalent pediatric vaccines, the flu differentiation strategy and products, the meningococcal conjugate vaccines and dengue vaccine. She was active within the local ecosystem in biosciences, and was a board member in several Foundations, Institutions and Universities.

Marie-José Quentin-Millet, is French, and was raised in the United States where she spent over a decade of her life. She received her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Lyon; she performed a post-doctoral fellowship at NICHD, NIH Bethesda in the laboratory of Dr. John Robbins. She trained at the University of Pennsylvania, in the Advanced Management Program Wharton Business School and the EM Lyon Business School, where she received her Certificate as Board Member. Dr. Quentin-Millet’s continuous interests are vaccine development and mentoring young talents to prepare the next generation to serve public health.
